HOLY ROMA!

Rome is among my favorite cities in the world for it’s impressively rampant, complex and detailed architecture, art, and symbolism. 

To explore the Vatican is to witness over 1000 years of artistic mastery culminated for a single purpose—to express the Catholic vision of God. These photographs are my best efforts at displaying what can only be truly experienced and appreciated in person.

That said, it’s a genuine revelation to see the imperfections as well; every sign of entropy is a reminder that such majesty still remains ensconced in the realm of the “real”. What could be more human than a material expression of the numinous?
